Domestic Abuse – how you can help and feel more confident in providing the right support
Take a look at a simple guide to supporting individuals in Oldham who are suffering or who have suffered domestic abuse. If someone makes a disclosure of domestic abuse, please follow the guide to address their immediate safety, it provides questions to ask, safety advice and the referral pathway to MARAC (multi-agency risk assessment conference).
The guide also provides contact details for specialist services such as the IDVA Service in Oldham and voluntary services who can also support victims/survivors who do not meet the criteria for MARAC. There are also useful links to other services and helpful information to ensure you know how to respond and provide the correct information. Click on the link or image below to take a look.
