Dementia United are working in partnership with a Lived Experience Steering Group, Alzheimer’s Society, International Longevity Centre, and the Greater Manchester Ageing Hub, to plan a hybrid event in Greater Manchester on Monday 6 June 2022 (11:00-15:15).

The event is intended to be a respectful reflection, acknowledging the impact of the pandemic, as well as reviewing and highlighting some of the innovations that have taken place in the last year and refocusing on recovery. Attendees will hear from people affected by dementia as well as speakers on topics that reflect the stages of the dementia pathway; these include preventing, diagnosing, living, supporting, and dying well. The event has co-production and Lived Experience Engagement at the heart of all stages, with an established Lived Experience Steering Group driving the planning, steering the content and focus of the event.

In the lead up to the event Dementia United are inviting people to submit questions and pledges for a panel made up of the Greater Manchester Mayor, Chief Executive from the Alzheimer’s Society, Lived Experience members and Senior Greater Manchester Health and Social Care staff.
